Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow our business across Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on the Malaysian market. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in managing distributors, driving sales growth, and executing go-to-market strategies within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives across Malaysia, Singapore, and Fiji, with a key emphasis on the Malaysian market.
  • Manage distributor relationships, including performance tracking, contract negotiation, and strategic development.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, channels, and partnerships to drive market expansion.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to inform strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing, promotions, and product strategy tailored to local market.
  • Ensure in-market execution of brand and sales initiatives, aligning with regional growth objective.
  • Represent the company in trade shows, distributor meetings, and customer engagements as needed.
  • Provide regular market updates, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG sales or business development, with a strong focus on the Malaysian market.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing distributors and growing brands in Malaysia.
  • Familiarity with market dynamics, retail structures, and channel strategies in Malaysia and the surrounding SEA market.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Open to all nationalities with relevant regional experience (visa support available).
  • Preferred

  • Exposure to other SEA markets like Singapore and Fiji is an advantage.
  • Experience in managing or growing smaller-scale FMCG businesses.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.
