About the Job

You are responsible for architecting and designing comprehensive end-to-end solutions across multiple domains that meet business objectives and align with enterprise architecture. You will need to partner with key business and IT stakeholders to establish an architectural road map for different domains across all Great Eastern entities (Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia).

Responsibilities

  • Analyse business objectives and design a technical strategy.
  • Develop architecture roadmap for the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop solution architecture with support from application or software architects.
  • Perform technology selection and implementation assurance to ensure the delivery team’s continuous alignment with approved solutions.
  • Perform technical debt management to ensure debts are monitored and resolved.
  • Develop solution architecture and solution building blocks that contribute to the architecture repository.
  • Develop standards, guidelines and playbooks that contribute to the architecture repository.
  • Develop application roadmap for the assigned portfolio.
  • Obtain approval for solution, application roadmap, architecture and design decisions from the architecture board.

We are looking for people who

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing a Solution Architect role.
  • Well versed in architectural / design patterns and design principles.
  • Expert in solution architecture modelling using techniques such as C4, Arch42, UML, etc.
  • Experience in developing complex solution architecture consisting of multiple technologies across different domains, such as application, infrastructure, data, cloud, etc.
  • Experience in performing technology selection and developing architecture roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong aptitude in acquiring new technical concepts and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of TOGAF or relevant enterprise architecture framework is required.
  • Familiar with the insurance industry and has a broad awareness of technologies relevant to the industry.
