The client is a leading international financial services company that primarily serves high‑net‑worth clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee regional data privacy compliance across multiple jurisdictions (including EU, US, and APAC), ensuring alignment with global standards.
  • Lead privacy governance initiatives – policy implementation, internal audits, and regulatory liaison – with support from external privacy consultants.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Risk, and IT to advise on data handling, vendor arrangements, and incident response processes.
  • Drive group‑wide training and awareness programs to strengthen data protection culture and ensure ongoing compliance readiness.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified, ideally in Law, with recognised data protection certifications such as CIPP, CIPT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk, with strong exposure to data privacy regulations across EU and key APAC jurisdictions.
  • Proven background in policy development, compliance training, and preferably experience within financial or insurance institutions.
