Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects for both local and international clients. This role will involve assisting in project management activities, contributing technical expertise, and ensuring successful execution of hydropower and dam projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Project Management Support

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing project activities.
  • Support the management of hydropower projects from inception to completion.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation measures.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate tasks and deliverables across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Control project inputs and outputs, document requests for information and query registers.
  • Liaise with local and international clients, contractors, and consultants, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare project management documentation, including team organisation charts, progress reports, risk registers, and cost tracking.
  • Undertake internal project monthly reviews and project planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, tenders, and technical submissions for new opportunities.
  • Business Development Support

  • Contribute to identifying new business opportunities and assist in proposal development whilst complying with internal governance procedures.
  • Support marketing and client engagement activities as required.
  • Technical Contribution

  • Apply engineering knowledge to support design reviews and technical assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Job Specification

    Education : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

    Experience :

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in design and project management, preferably in hydropower or dam projects.
  • Proven experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Ability with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Soft Skills :

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Location : Mid Valley City
