JOB DESCRIPTION

Work assigned is not limited to the job scope listed below, and may be assigned to a similar function based on the workload and requirement :

  • Perform securities settlement activities for domestic and global investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of investment and cash transactions.
  • Ensure alignment of internal records with custodians, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with the custodians and system vendors to resolve any issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-sectional collaboration to ensure accurate and timely reporting of investment data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Settlement

  • Perform investment settlement activities for securities and cash transactions across domestic and global markets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and review the completeness of documentation before funding.
  • Review and ensure internally executed instructions match against confirmations received from counterparties.
  • Coordinate with internal fund managers, custodian banks, and fund administrators to resolve documentation or funding issues and ensure timely settlement.
  • Transaction Management

  • Maintain investment and cash transactions accurately in internal systems, ensuring alignment with custodian records. Transactions covering various instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and money market.
  • Ensure daily investment transaction data interfaced from custodians into internal systems are updated accurately and timely.
  • Ensure all corporate action events are captured and validated.
  • Ensure fund transfer instructions are executed accurately and on time to the relevant custodians.
  • Reconciliation

  • Perform daily reconciliation of investment transactions, positions, and cash balances between internal records and custodians.
  • Promptly identify and resolve discrepancies in position and cash reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement

  • Perform data interface tests for new products, securities, and accounts to ensure accuracy and order.
  • Actively participate in initiatives focused on process improvement and automation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in investment operations.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related qualifications which are recognised by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution including membership in the professional accounting bodies.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply .
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention-to-detail, and able to work independently.
  • Proactive, resilient, adaptable to new technologies, and able to deliver under pressure.
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Pass the Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognised by the Government.
