Overview
The Warden is responsible for maintaining discipline, cleanliness, safety, and welfare of male hostel students while ensuring all hostel property and equipment are well cared for. This position suits a strict, responsible, and hands‑on individual, preferably an ex‑army or ex‑police officer, who can uphold hostel regulations and manage daily operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Discipline & Supervision
 
Enforce hostel rules and maintain discipline among male students.
Monitor student behavior, attendance, and overall attitude.Conduct regular spot checks and room inspections.Report and handle disciplinary issues promptly.Hostel Cleanliness & MaintenanceEnsure all hostel areas (rooms, toilets, common areas) are kept clean and orderly.
Supervise cleaning schedules and coordinate with cleaners or students for upkeep.Check the condition of fans, lights, electrical appliances, and other hostel property regularly to ensure they are functioning and not damaged.Report and follow up on maintenance or repair needs with the management.Ensure students use hostel property responsibly and report any misuse or damage.Administration & DocumentationManage student room allocations, hostel agreements, and inventories.
Oversee collection of hostel fees, deposits, and receipts in coordination with the admin office.Maintain accurate hostel records and submit reports to management on a monthly basis.Student Welfare & SupportServe as the first point of contact for students’ hostel‑related issues or emergencies.
Promote a safe, respectful, and disciplined living environment.Counsel and guide students on personal discipline, time management, and teamwork.Safety & SecurityMonitor entry and exit of students and visitors.
Enforce curfew and visitor regulations strictly.Act swiftly in emergencies (fire, fights, illness, etc.) and report to the management immediately.Conduct periodic checks to ensure safety systems are functional.Requirements
Preferably ex‑Army / ex‑Police or individual with strong background in discipline and leadership.Prefer with experience in hostel, security, or student management.Physically fit and mentally alert.Firm, responsible, and approachable personality.Good communication and reporting skills.Additional Information
