Penerangan pekerjaanBachelor Degree in Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology with Honours from an accredited university by Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing 2-3 years of working experience in a setting / s that manages paediatrics and / or adult populations. Must possess a valid MAHPC licence (Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council). Prior hospital or clinical experience is needed. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
Job Description :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnosis, and medical condition.
- Provide therapy and interventions to patients of all ages (pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
- Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapy techniques, communication strategies, and swallowing safety.
- Document assessments, treatment progress, and patient outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Support patients recovering from neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease) and other medical conditions affecting communication and swallowing.
- Conduct therapy for pediatric patients with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and other communication disorders (if applicable).
