Finance Specialist - Accounting Operations – Statutory Specialist (KL)

Job Title : - Finance Specialist - Accounting Operations –Statutory Specialist

Role Summary : -

Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches.

  • Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables / payables, intercompany, etc. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process / accounting services.
  • Advises Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field.

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies) : -

  • Years of experience : Minimum 3-6 years’ experience in General Accounting, Records to Report, and / or Statutory / External Audit
  • Field of experience : Experience in Big4 or Shared Service will be added advantage
  • Technical Skills : Experience in SAP and Oracle will be added advantage
  • Soft Skills : NA
  • Tools or Software (Required) : SAP, Oracle
  • Education Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
  • Industry Background or Experience (Required) : Oil & Gas, Accounting & Finance Shared Services
  • Off-limits Companies : NA
  • Required Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including driving License : NA

    • Desirable attributes of the worker (Experience / Skills / Competencies) : -

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Good attention to detail with good analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities successfully.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills.
