Job Summary :

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Social Media Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for short-form video content and a deep understanding of current trends on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. This role is responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging, dynamic, and shareable videos that capture attention and drive audience growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Edit short-form video content specifically for social media platforms including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Stories.
  • Mastery of rapid-fire, quick-cut editing styles to maintain high viewer engagement.
  • Incorporate visual effects, on-screen text, call-outs, and pop-out effects to highlight key information and make videos visually dynamic.
  • Source and creatively use sound effects and trending audio to enhance storytelling and align with platform trends.
  • Collaborate with the content creation team to develop video concepts and execute them from initial idea to final cut.
  • Ensure all videos are optimized for each platform's unique specifications and best practices.
  • Manage and organize video project files and assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media video trends, effects, and features.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing work specifically for social media platforms (links to a TikTok / Instagram / YouTube account are a plus).
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling in a short-form format.
  • Excellent eye for detail and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of social media trends and a passion for creating viral, engaging content.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly on edits.
