Senior Electrical Engineer- EHV Cables – Damansara City, Malaysia

AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer- EHV Cables to join our team in Damansara City. This role contributes to Energy projects across global offices and focuses on delivering high-quality technical work within a supportive, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for the team
Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for the staff\'s area of expertise
Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others
Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
Apply expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E packages
Perform quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings
Prepare technical specification sections
Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements

Qualifications

Master or degree in Engineering (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university

Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization

10+ years of work experience preferred

Experience with HV Cable OEM design teams for Grid Utilities (e.g., National Grid, Transgrid, PowerGrid) for Underground HV Cables design is highly desirable

Exposure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred

Design experience with CYMCAP or similar tools for EHV / HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations, EMTP modelling is highly desirable

Very good communication skills (oral and written) in English
