About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Internal Audit & Internal Control to join our team. In this critical leadership role, you will be the cornerstone of our governance framework, strengthening our internal audit functions, overseeing risk management, and guiding our overseas subsidiaries.
You will act as a key business partner, bridging our local Malaysian operations with our Korea HQ to ensure compliance, efficiency, and transparency across the board. What You'll Do
As the Senior Manager, you will be empowered to lead and shape our internal audit and control landscape. Your key responsibilities will include :
Lead & Develop the Audit Function :
- Spearhead the Internal Audit team, managing everything from audit planning and execution to final reporting.
- Ensure all audit activities meet the highest professional standards and align with corporate policies.
- Mentor and develop your team members, elevating their capabilities and fostering a culture of excellence.
Strengthen Internal Controls & Governance :
Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control system that aligns with HQ standards.Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of controls across all business processes, recommending improvements to enhance governance.Manage Risk & Ensure Compliance :
Conduct comprehensive, enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify and prioritize key risk areas.Perform detailed operational audits and compliance reviews to ensure we adhere to all relevant policies, laws, and regulations.Drive the resolution of audit findings by following up on corrective action plans to ensure they are completed on time.Provide Financial & Operational Oversight :
Partner closely with Finance to monitor cash flow, expenses, and investments, providing insights that support strategic financial decisions.Oversee key operational areas including sales, logistics, inventory, and after-sales service to assess efficiency and recommend process improvements.Drive HQ Collaboration & Reporting :
Serve as the main liaison between our Malaysia operations and Korea HQ, ensuring clear and seamless communication.Prepare and deliver regular, insightful reports to HQ in Korea, highlighting key issues, risks, and strategic recommendations.Collaborate with HQ to ensure group policies and strategies are successfully implemented locally.Who You Are
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a blend of technical expertise and leadership acumen.
Essential Experience & Skills :
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, financial control, or risk management, preferably within a multinational corporation.A proven track record of leading internal audit and establishing strong control frameworks at a group or regional level.Deep knowledge of accounting principles, audit methodologies, tax regulations, and corporate governance.Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management at HQ in Korea and other overseas teams.Demonstrated strength in leadership, stakeholder management, and project management.Highly Desirable :
An MBA or other advanced degree.Professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).Proficiency in the Korean language is a significant advantage to facilitate smooth communication with our HQ.%20Berhad){kind=logo}
