Responsibilities
Implement and monitor compliance programs of the IOI Group.
Conduct periodic training, field and paper audits / reviews across all business units of the IOI Group.
Identify compliance issues / gaps that require follow-up or investigation.
Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards.
Collaborate with other departments to develop and manage risk management strategies in relation to the compliance programs.
Conduct relevant research and keep abreast with, and propose, best practices in corporate compliance programs and all relevant laws and regulations applicable to the IOI Group.
Conduct employee training on compliance topics, policies and procedures.
Provide legal advice and support to the operational team on various legal queries and matters.
Assist in the review and drafting of legal documents such as Non Disclosure Agreements, Engagement Letters, Tenancy Agreements and Sale and Purchase Agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and Bar / CLP qualification or other appropriate qualifications.
4–6 years of working experience in a compliance department of a similar industry or a regulated industry or with the regulators.
Experience in the plantation industry will be an added advantage.
Proactive, meticulous, and able to work independently.
