Penerangan pekerjaanPerform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries and necessary adjustments. Coordinate and execute monthly and year end closing activities. Analyze financial data and variances to support management decision-making. Compliance Oversight Observe compliance in areas such as procurement documentation, payment processing and claims submission. Handle and resolve vendor and customer issues related to billing, payment or documentation in a timely manner. Report any non-compliance or irregularities to the Sr Finance Manager for further action. Assist in maintaining proper supporting documents for audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Audit and Tax Compliance Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely submission of audit documents. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, CP204, Form E, etc) and statutory bodies (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN). Cash Flow and Bank Reconciliation Verify monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Verify petty cash records and ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping. Team Supervision and Support Review accounting entries and reconciliations prepared by team members for accuracy and compliance. Budget and Forecasting Support Coordinate with relevant departments to gather input and ensure accuracy of submissions. Support the Sr Finance Manager in analyzing trends and preparing budget-to-actual variance reports. Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Month-End Closing
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet).
Monitor daily accounting operations to ensure alignment with internal control procedures and company policies.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and company secretary for annual audit and tax filing.
Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
Guide and mentor junior finance staff in daily accounting tasks.
Assist in collecting and consolidating financial data for budgeting and forecasting exercises.
Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Sr Finance Manager or management from time to time.
