Job Descriptions
1. Full-Cycle Accounting
- Manage and maintain full set accounts involving invoices, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets schedule & general journal.
- Perform daily accounting operations including vendor payments, client billing, staff claims, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
2. Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow statements.Analyze and interpret financial data, providing actionable insights to improve business profitability.Assist in the preparation of sales reports, management reports, variance analysis, and budgeting.3. Retail Accounting & Inventory Management
Monitor and prepare daily sales, collection, and cash flow reports.Manage retail-related transactions, ensuring accurate recording of sales, purchases, and inventory movements.Reconcile and maintain accurate records of inventory costs, supplier invoices, and sales.4. Tax Compliance & Audit Support
Ensure tax compliance by preparing and submitting SST & GST / VAT returns and other statutory tax filings.Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth year-end audits and provide necessary financial documentation and explanations.5. Other Duties
Liaison with bankers other regulatory bodies for accounting and finance related requirements and compliance's.Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by the senior leadership team.Requirements
Education : Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary / STPM / "A" Level / Pre-U, any field in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience : Experience in accounting and handling full set accounts; experience in the finance / retail industry is preferred.Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL & ERP systems); strong Excel skills.Knowledge of Retail Finance : Familiarity with inventory management, sales reporting, and cost-of-goods sold (COGS) calculations in a retail environment.Tax & Compliance : Good understanding of local tax regulations, GST / VAT & SST, and financial reporting standards.#J-18808-Ljbffr
