Cloud-Native QA Engineer

Job description2+ years of experience validating cloud-distributed applications. Hands-on background in testing enterprise-grade software. Familiarity with container-based platforms and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Fluentd, Prometheus, Grafana). Experience setting up and configuring Kafka in enterprise settings. Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, version control, and build tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins). Solid understanding of Linux environments. Familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability, with a collaborative mindset and adaptability. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Work with innovative cloud-native technologies in a collaborative team environment. Overview

We are looking for a skilled Cloud-Native QA Engineer II to join our client's engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale distributed applications, collaborating closely with development teams to deliver robust, cloud-ready solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, covering functional, regression, and system-level scenarios.
- Build and manage cloud-based test environments (Kubernetes) and perform manual as well as automated test execution.
- Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline testing processes.
- Review technical specifications and contribute to automation planning for new product features.
- Prepare and share clear test reports for each cycle, highlighting results and findings.
- Document issues with precise steps to reproduce and provide actionable feedback.
- Support product documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and clarity.
