The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and developing a set of key-account customers on a national level. They are responsible for achieving sales targets within these customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for key customers, including setting sales targets, identifying growth opportunities, and outlining strategies to achieve them.
- Create the assigned customers' Annual Operating Plan (AOP) aligned with the company's yearly business objectives and strategy.
- Develop annual customer business plans based on customer segmentation and strategy, supported by shopper insights, sales trends, and market analysis. Ensure the execution of customer strategies with key action plans and activities.
- Lead trading term negotiations with key customers, including pricing, ullage, terms of trade, promotions, and contractual matters to ensure customer profitability.
- Plan and execute promotions, including developing promotion strategies with N+6 planning and collaborating with the Shopper Marketing team for national or tactical promotions. Prepare pre-promotion approval documents and post-promotion evaluations.
- Provide demand forecasts N+3 at SKU level based on promotion plans and activities.
- Lead business reviews and market visits, including monthly / quarterly customer plan sharing and annual T2T meetings for key customers.
- Conduct trade visits to monitor and audit in-store execution at outlets and monthly visits to headquarters to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers. Understand their needs, objectives, and market landscape.
- Manage administrative responsibilities such as monitoring key account receivables and coordinating with credit control and accounts receivable teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments like sales operations, marketing, shopper marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales or Modern Trade.Knowledge of FMCG dynamics.Proficiency in MS Office.Good command of English.Additional Information
