Randstad has recently partnered with one of Malaysia's fastest-growing payment gateway providers. They are looking to hire a AVP to lead the new division which is the cross-border payment for remittances.
About the job
- Develop and execute B2B sales strategies targeting key remittance corridors into Indonesia
- Build strategic partnerships with money transfer operators, banks, and fintech companies in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and other priority markets
- Negotiate commercial agreements and establish distribution channels for inbound payment flows
- Create go-to-market strategies for overseas worker remittance products
- Identify and on board Indonesian SME traders and merchants requiring cross-border payment solutions
- Develop merchant acquisition strategies, particularly targeting Singapore, Malaysia, China and USA trade corridors
- Build relationships with trade associations, chambers of commerce, and key merchant groups
- Design scalable merchant on boarding processes and commercial frameworks
- Develop and own the business P&L, including pricing, revenue models, and profitability targets
- Drive partnership opportunities with financial institutions, payment networks, and technology providers
- Lead commercial negotiations and establish frameworks for long-term growth
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to define product requirements tailored for cross-border payments
- Drive corridor expansion to other SEA markets

More than 10 years of commercial, business development, or partnerships experience in financial services, fintech, or paymentsPrevious experience at leading global tech focused cross-border companies preferredFamiliarity with licensing and regulatory requirements for cross-border paymentsStrong understanding of FX fees for cross border transactions and how to optimiseStrong track record in managing P&L and scaling new business lines in fast-paced environmentsProven track record in B2B sales / partnerships, preferably in cross-border payments, remittances, or trade financeExperience building partnerships across Southeast Asia, Middle East, or Greater China regionsExcellent relationship-building skills with C-level executives and senior stakeholdersHow to apply
