Design and develop custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support assembly and production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process bottlenecks and improve productivity.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in tooling design, ergonomics, and cycle time reduction.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling and process issues.
Create and maintain 2D / 3D CAD drawings, BOMs, and related documentation.
Validate new tooling through trials and capability studies.
Work with Process and NPI teams to transfer products from NPI to mass production and ensure manufacturing documentation (WI) is up to date.
Drive lean manufacturing and process control initiatives to improve quality and reduce costs.
Support supplier qualification for production-related subcontracts and maintain MRP / BOM accuracy.
Provide training and technical support to operators and production teams.
Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Process, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
3–5 years of experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering or Automation-related roles.
At least 2 years’ experience in jig and fixture design or manufacturing process development (fresh graduates with strong portfolios may be considered).
Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or equivalent).
Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail, with strong documentation and analytical capability.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive process improvements.
Familiar with health and safety regulations.
Willing to work beyond office hours when necessary.
Experience in high-mix, low-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred.
Exposure to automation or semi-automated tooling projects is an added advantage.
