Overview Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover (4 Months) – January 2026 Start

Purpose of Role : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher for a temporary maternity cover role (4 months). The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons, uphold high academic and pastoral standards, and contribute positively to our learning community.

Teaching And Learning

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Cambridge Primary curriculum.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.

Maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.

Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to meet the needs of all learners.

Classroom Management And Student Wellbeing

Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports student learning and personal development.

Implement effective behaviour management in line with school policies.

Support the academic and emotional wellbeing of students under your care.

Professional Responsibilities

Collaborate with colleagues in planning and sharing best practices.

Communicate regularly with parents, maintaining open and supportive dialogue.

Participate in school events, activities, and meetings as required.

Uphold the values, ethos, and policies of the school at all times

KS1 Phase Lead / Head of Primary .

Qualifications And Experience Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Teaching / Education or any other relevant fields. (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).

Experience And Skills

Experience teaching the Cambridge Primary curriculum is highly desirable.

Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.

A growth mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Ability to inspire and challenge learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Able to commence in January 2026.
