3D Scanning Programmer

Job descriptionDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 2+ years of experience in 3D scanning programming or metrology software. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) and scan data processing tools. Strong understanding of GD&T and dimensional analysis. Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, VBA) is a plus. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D scanning programs using software such as PolyWorks, Geomagic, GOM Inspect, or similar.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers to define scanning strategies and inspection routines.
- Automate scan-to-CAD comparison workflows and reporting templates.
- Validate and troubleshoot scan data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions using scan data.
- Maintain documentation for scanning procedures and software configurations.
- Train operators and technicians on scanning software and workflows.
