Job descriptionBachelor's Degree or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail merchandising or category management. Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and numerical proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret data and market trends to drive sales performance. Attention to detail with a strategic mindset. Proficiency in English, Malay, and Chinese is an added advantage. Must possess own transport.
We are looking for a Buyer to oversee our Apparel portfolio. The role focuses on maximizing sales, margin, and profitability by ensuring the right product selection, strategic vendor partnerships, and effective merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage product assortments to meet customer needs.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Optimize store layouts, promotions, and display techniques.
- Negotiate pricing, quantities, and trading terms with suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels, control markdowns, and manage product launches.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure smooth execution of online listings and store merchandising.
- Participate in store events, stock take programs, and new store setups.
