Merchandising Manager / Assistant Manager (Apparel)

We are looking for a Buyer to oversee our Apparel portfolio. The role focuses on maximizing sales, margin, and profitability by ensuring the right product selection, strategic vendor partnerships, and effective merchandising strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage product assortments to meet customer needs.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Optimize store layouts, promotions, and display techniques.
  • Negotiate pricing, quantities, and trading terms with suppliers.
  • Monitor stock levels, control markdowns, and manage product launches.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure smooth execution of online listings and store merchandising.
  • Participate in store events, stock take programs, and new store setups.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail merchandising or category management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and numerical proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret data and market trends to drive sales performance.
  • Attention to detail with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in English, Malay, and Chinese is an added advantage.
  • Must possess own transport.
