Role
As a Finance Manager , you will lead Qra’s finance and accounting functions, reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Founder / CEO. You’ll oversee the full spectrum of financial operations — from reporting and cash flow management to compliance and planning. Beyond managing the numbers, you’ll support operational decision-making, drive profitability through cost and margin optimisation, and build a strong finance team that enables Qra’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable (trade & non-trade), accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor inventory accounting, shrinkage, and stock adjustments to ensure accuracy of COGS and margins.
- Manage balance sheet schedules and ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.Analyze variances against budget / forecast and share actionable insights.Track and report on key KPIs.Cash Flow & Treasury
Monitor daily cash flow, collections, and supplier payments to ensure liquidity.Oversee store-level cash collection, banking, and reconciliation processes.Operational Support
Partner with store operations and merchandising to optimise stock levels, margins, and promotions.Support financial planning for new store openings, including licensing costs and capex tracking.Internal Controls & Compliance
Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Lead internal and external audit processes, addressing queries and implementing recommendations.Leadership
Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring clear role allocation (AP, AR, GL, master data).Drive process improvements and automation in reporting and systems.Develop team capabilities through coaching and training.Build strong cross-functional relationships and provide financial guidance to leadership teams.What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, P&L management, and business partnering.Strong knowledge of financial analysis and strategy, with advanced Excel skills.Experience in Retail, FMCG, or Hospitality is a plus.Strong commercial and business acumen; able to break down problems and present clear insights.Hands-on, agile, and solutions-driven — comfortable in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
