Job Purpose
To develop and manage effective production or material plans that ensure timely availability of materials, optimal use of resources, and on-time delivery of products while minimizing costs and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer orders.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure schedule adherence.
- Monitor inventory levels and trigger replenishment or production orders when necessary.
- Analyze material and capacity constraints and adjust plans to avoid bottlenecks or delays.
- Maintain planning parameters (e.g., lead times, safety stock levels, MOQ) in ERP systems.
- Ensure timely issuance of work orders or purchase requisitions to support operations.
- Track progress against plan and resolve any planning-related issues (e.g., material shortages, delays).
- Prepare and analyze reports on production performance, forecast accuracy, and capacity utilization.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to confirm delivery commitments.
- Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Manufacturing, or related field.At least 2–3 years of planning experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) is an advantage.Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning tools.Job Type : Full-time
