Job Summary :
The Chargeman A4 cum Technician is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and ensuring the safe operation of all electrical systems and equipment in the facility in compliance with statutory regulations. This role combines technical responsibilities of a chargeman with hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Electrical Maintenance & Operation
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, including LV (Low Voltage) systems, machinery, and building facilities.
- Ensure all electrical equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
2. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations and other relevant authorities.Maintain records of electrical systems, inspections, and maintenance activities for audit purposes.Implement and follow strict safety procedures during maintenance and repair work.3. Equipment & System Troubleshooting
Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs for electrical installations, machinery, and equipment.Assist in the calibration and servicing of electrical panels, wiring systems, and backup power supply (e.g., generators, UPS).4. Technical Support & Coordination
Support facility operations by coordinating with vendors, contractors, and other departments for maintenance activities.Assist in planning and executing equipment upgrades and installations.5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare maintenance reports, electrical inspection logs, and equipment status updates.Report breakdowns, maintenance needs, and improvement recommendations to management.6. General Maintenance Duties
Perform minor mechanical and facility-related repairs as required.Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and cost-saving projects.Requirements :
Certification : Valid Chargeman A4 Certificate (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).Education : Diploma / Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.Experience : At least 2-3 years in facility maintenance, electrical operation, or related roles.Skills :Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures.Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.Pay : RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
