Purchasing Assistant helps ensure smooth purchasing operations and timely supply of materials while assisting with inventory management and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Collate purchase orders and requisitions to order materials, goods, and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Communicate with suppliers on a daily basis
- Review deliveries to ensure they match orders
- Track and update the status of orders
- Handle issues with incomplete, excess, or damaged deliveries
- Prepare and maintain purchasing reports
- Contact new suppliers and share checklists via phone and email
- Receive and compile documents from suppliers for supervisor's review
- Support daily office operations, including filing, updating master lists, and handling ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
