Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, servo systems, frequency inverters, and other control system components.
- Create and interpret electrical schematics, panel layout diagrams, and system architecture using tools such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of machine automation systems in collaboration with electrical and mechanical technicians.
- Support on-site installation, commissioning, and integration of automation systems with production lines.
- Lead or support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) with customers, ensuring system performance meets specifications.
- Work closely with project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and clients, to provide end-to-end technical support from concept to handover.
- Ensure all automation designs comply with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Document all technical work, including source code, system manuals, and training materials.
- Open to overseas or domestic travel for on-site implementation, commissioning, and customer support, as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and system integration.Strong knowledge and experience with Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley or similar PLC platforms.Familiar with HMI development tools and SCADA systems.Experience in configuring and tuning servo drives, motion control systems, and frequency inverters.Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in automation and control systems.Proficiency in industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, or Ethernet / IP.Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external clients.Willing to travel and work at customer sites as required.Knowledge of ISO, CE, or relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage.Experience with robotic integration or machine vision systems.Exposure to Industry 4.0, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) concepts.Familiarity with project management tools or techniques for automation deployment.Additional Information
