STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to engage a Store Operator to join our Warehouse department. The job holder will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and specialized items, including flammable, chemical, and cold store materials. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of materials to support uninterrupted production and maintenance operations. The Store Operator will maintain inventory accuracy, enforce safety compliance, and collaborate with various departments to optimize warehouse efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Management :
Accurate receipt verification, inventory recording in SAP EWMS, regular stock counts, stock monitoring, systematic organization, and FIFO implementation to ensure inventory accuracy and timely availability. Material Handling and Storage :
Proper storage and segregation of materials, safe handling of hazardous items, efficient use of warehouse equipment, and maintenance of cleanliness and safety. Issuing and Dispatching :
Preparation and issuance of materials based on approved requisitions, verification for accuracy, prioritization of urgent requests, and detailed record-keeping. Safety and Compliance :
Strict adherence to safety protocols, proper labeling and storage of hazardous materials, regular safety inspections, and active participation in safety training. Documentation and Reporting :
Maintenance of accurate records, timely reporting of inventory and operational data, and documentation of discrepancies and safety incidents. Coordination and Communication :
Collaboration with procurement, production, maintenance, and quality teams, communication with suppliers and logistics, audit support, and contribution to process improvements. Equipment Maintenance :
Routine checks and maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting malfunctions, and ensuring proper calibration of temperature monitoring devices. Specialized Store Responsibilities :
Enforcement of strict access control and fire safety in flammable stores, segregation and spill readiness in chemical stores, and vigilant temperature monitoring in cold stores. Skills and Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; technical or logistics-related certification preferred. Proven experience of 2+ years in warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing or electronics industry. Experience handling hazardous materials (flammable, chemical, cold storage) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift certification is an advantage). Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards. Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Working Conditions
The working hours will be from Monday to Friday, during the standard day shift. Work primarily performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage areas. Handling of hazardous materials requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and operating warehouse equipment.
