Role & Responsibilities

Support Group Procurement strategic initiatives.

Vendor management and new vendor development

To participate and support with all projects in close collaboration with teams and Group Procurement for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract implementation

Developing cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.

Working with the team for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for best prices, best quality, payment terms, and delivery timelines.

Stay informed of current trends in fluctuating variables in the raw material costs.

Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers and distributors.

To assist and implement the tendering process for procurement.

Provide support to resolve supplier quality issues and take corrective action.

Implementing and Overseeing inventory levels to meet production demand while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.

Comply with all site and Corporate SOPs and documented processes.

Prepare reports on procurement performance

Qualification

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, purchasing management or a related field of study.

Preferably at least 2 years in supply chain management or 5 years in purchasing or procurement.

Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills.

Extensive knowledge of procurement & logistics strategies, tactics, negotiation, and contracting skills.

Previous experience working in manufacturing industry is preferred.

Advanced PC skills (specifically Excel, Power Point & Word) including knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP / MRP systems will be an advantage.

Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is preferred.
