The Role

Responsible for the operations of the finance department for accounting and tax matters; monthly closing of the accounts; submission of statutory financial reports in accordance to legislations, guidelines and applicable accounting principles and standards.

The Responsibilities :

To be responsible to perform periodic review on financial closing procedures including analysing and verifying journal entries, reconciliation of general ledgers, balance sheet balances and other relevant schedules.

To ensure the intercompany recharges are properly reconciled and duly billed.

To attend to all accounting related queries and request in providing information and explanation needed.

Assist in the full spectrum of the Group / Compan(ies) accounting and finance works involving timely and accurate production of monthly financial reports of the Group / Compan(ies) and annual statutory financial reports of the Group / Compan(ies) in compliance with relevant legislations, guidelines and applicable accounting principles and standards as well as compilation and analysis of financial data for Group consolidation reporting.

In charge of annual audit exercise for the Group / Compan(ies) and responsible for the preparation of audited financial statements for the Group / Compan(ies).

Responsible for the tax computation and tax submission for the Group / Compan(ies), Form CP 204 and form CP 204A.

Assist in monitoring financial performance by analysing results and minimising the impact of variances.

Developing budget and forecast for the Group / Compan(ies) and ensure submission of budget and forecast in accordance to timeline.

To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.

Must be willing to work in Jaya Shopping Centre, Seksyen 14.

The Qualifications :

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline.

MICPA / CIMA / ACCA / CPA qualified or related professional qualification.

Minimum 8-10 years working experience in related role preferably in a mall or retail industry

1-2 years of management experience and able to lead a team.

Highly analytical, attentive to details and self-motivated with ability to work independently with high degree of maturity, integrity and initiative.

Knowledge in statutory and regulatory requirements, and MFRS accounting guidelines.

Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Words, Excel and PowerPoint).

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

A team player and able to interact with all levels of staff.
