Job Description The AVP, Compensation & Benefits play an operational role in managing the compensation and benefits (C&B) programs within UCOE. This includes annual salary and bonus reviews exercise, incentive administration, benefits administration, and C&B analytics to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance. The role also oversees payroll operations as a payroll checker and part of the payroll approval process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements. Key Responsibilities
Execution and delivery of day-to-day HR operational activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll processing. Oversee the administrative support for schemes introduced by HR from time to time, such as Employee Referral Scheme, Insurance, Medical and other Benefit Schemes. Undertake documentation; maintain updates and refinements of payroll procedures. Perform ongoing reviews of work processes and SOPs for service delivery excellence opportunities as well as to solidify control to ensure internal and external audit / regulatory compliance. Work with HR Business Partners and / or Functional HR / Business Teams on adhoc HR projects and resolution of payroll and benefits issues. Provide first-level support to employees on ‘most commonly asked’ questions regarding payroll and benefits. Coordinate and support payroll audit and compliance reviews Must have
At least a recognized Degree. At least 5 years of HR and Payroll experiences, preferably in banking industry. Well verse in local taxes and statutory. Process-oriented with a good eye for details. Resourceful and able to work independently. Good communication and interpersonal skills. With ability to motivate / influence others. Good to have
Knowledge of Malaysian Labour Law, Industrial Relations Act and prevailing HR practice and legislation. Knowledge of foreign worker’s taxes and statutory. Essential Technical Skill
Highly competent in computer skills, especially MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Additional Requirements
