Job Title : Director of Human Resources
Reports to : General Manager
Role Overview
The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the hotel’s Executive Committee, responsible for driving the full spectrum of HR strategies and initiatives in alignment with the hotel’s business objectives and our client’s standards. This role oversees all aspects of human capital management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with the General Manager and Executive Committee to design and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Drive change management and employee engagement programs to enhance culture and retention.
Talent Acquisition & Development
Oversee end-to-end recruitment for managerial and operational roles, ensuring the hotel attracts and retains top hospitality talent.Champion learning and development programs, ensuring training needs analysis, leadership development, and career progression opportunities.Implement talent review processes to identify high-potential employees and build leadership pipelines.Compensation & Benefits
Ensure competitive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs in line with market trends and group guidelines.Manage payroll processes in collaboration with Finance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Employee Relations & Compliance
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and associates on HR-related matters.Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, company policies, and union agreements (if applicable).Manage grievance handling, disciplinary matters, and workplace investigations fairly and in accordance with statutory and company guidelines.Performance Management
Drive performance management processes, from goal setting to appraisals.Partner with managers to ensure KPIs are aligned with business objectives and deliver coaching for improved outcomes.HR Operations & Reporting
Oversee HR operations including HRIS, personnel files, and statutory reporting.Prepare HR reports and dashboards for senior leadership and corporate office.Manage HR budget and ensure effective use of resources.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within hospitality.Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR best practices.Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational execution.Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.How to Apply : Interested applicants, please click on the “Apply Now” to submit your updated resume.
