Assistant Vice President, Retail Broking & Investment Lending (RBIL) at Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad
Overview
Role focused on RBIL product management, marketing, system enhancements and campaign execution to support sales and customer satisfaction while managing costs and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis on RBIL products / services and benchmark products, services, practices and pricing.
- Review the competitiveness of products, promotions and campaigns.
- Provide support to marketing and product activities in relation to RBIL in line with the overall business plan, strategy and budget.
- In charge of project management and system enhancements.
- Review end-to-end processes related to RBIL products and campaigns to enhance customer satisfaction and service quality, balancing customer experience and cost management.
- Support Share Trading Centres and the Share Trading platform including online and mobile customer-facing delivery channels.
- Risk and compliance management : ensure products comply with regulations.
Product Research & Marketing Development
Conduct market research and competitive analysis on RBIL product / services and pricing; liaise with agencies to produce marketing collateral and arrange campaign logistics for events or wealth management PR activities.Assist in organizing product training and marketing support for RBIL in line with business plans and budgets.Ensure product approvals comply with Group and Bank standards and regulatory requirements.Product Development Management
Identify product needs through market research and feedback; develop product concepts, features, benefits and processes.Work out financial projections for profit and loss; track progress and obtain sign-off before presenting to committees.Ensure regulatory approvals are obtained or notifications sent; ensure readiness of system, documentation, SOPs and marketing materials.Conduct briefing and training for sales staff and relevant departments on new or enhanced products.Review and analyze product performance post-launch.Marketing Management
Assist in developing a marketing plan to improve RBIL product sales.Liaise with media agencies on marketing materials.System Enhancements / Changes
Understand user needs and coordinate between business, sales, operations, credit units and support teams; manage vendors on changes.Perform UAT and ensure changes are ready for production.Campaign Management
Manage promotions and campaigns to drive sales; coordinate with divisions for smooth RBIL initiatives.Review competitiveness of products, promotions and campaigns; track results; conduct post-mortem analyses and implement corrective actions as needed.Manage suppliers, vendors and advertising agencies to meet campaign timelines; coordinate with internal teams on process and workflow.Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
Provide monthly MIS reports to front-end dealers to activate accounts and manage portfolios; provide daily 360 reports to Center Manager and Regional Centre Manager to monitor staff and center performance.X-sell Initiatives Management
Analyze prospect data to identify opportunities for targeted customer acquisition and manage target customer data access and distribution to Regions / STCs.Product Training, Compliance & Service Quality Management
Train frontline staff on new product features and selling practices to ensure alignment with customer needs and prevent mis-selling.Guide RBIL backroom support on new product launches and end-to-end processes; ensure regulatory documentation and filings are in place.Maintain compliance with internal product approval processes and regulatory requirements; update corporate website as needed; manage information risks and maintain a knowledge repository of product catalogs and data.Ensure product and service quality and adherence to risk management standards.Team Engagement & Business Performance
Maintain a positive team attitude and collaborate with internal staff and external partners to implement RBIL initiatives and drive performance.Provide inputs to RBIL business plans and budgets; coordinate with divisions for smooth execution of initiatives.Qualifications & Experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think differently and drive new best practices.Strong communication skills; proactive with initiative; good time management and customer service mindset.Teambuilding skills and flexibility to change; Total Quality Management mindset.At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in banking or stockbroking; proven exposure to consumer marketing and product management.A basic general degree or equivalent qualification.Knowledge
Understanding of industry trends, regulatory developments in RBIL and related share trading / wealth management contexts.Knowledge of business financial drivers, customer portfolios, distribution and operations; system development knowledge for investment lending or share margin products.Knowledge of share margin financing, risk management and controls; familiarity with share market industry concepts and share margin systems.Seniorities & Employment
