What you will do

• Category Strategy Development & Execution : Lead the development and execution of a category strategy by working with business stakeholders and global / regional procurement colleagues.
• Business understanding : Gain deep understanding of the business requirements, value chain, total costs, risks and opportunities to deliver value improvements.
• Supplier & market insights : Bring knowledge of suppliers and supply market expertise to the business, including identification and development of innovations.
• Procurement activity : Plan and execute the procurement activity using the Source to Contract process, leading competitive tenders and / or negotiations for formal and ad hoc activities.
• Supplier Management & Risk : Implement supplier business reviews and other means of driving supplier performance in sustainable, systematic ways; develop supplier performance targets and KPIs with stakeholders; ensure supplier capacity, financial stability, quality & technical capabilities; implement supplier development / risk mitigation plans as appropriate.
• Operations, Reporting & Governance : Manage the Purchase Requisition process and approvals for the category in line with company policies; be accountable for cost savings and value creation; collaborate with business stakeholders while reporting through the procurement organization; promote compliance with integrity and B. Braun’s code of conduct.
• Projects & assignments : Challenge sourcing activities and processes to identify value engineering, operational excellence, process improvements and new sourcing opportunities; lead or support improvement projects as needed.
