Overview
Primarily responsible for providing efficient administrative and sales support to the management and to Logistics sales, including indoor sales activities such as telesales, CRM, and maintaining close follow-up on quotations. Work closely with the sales team to implement sales strategies and increase GAC Logistics presence within the Malaysia market.
Responsibilities
- Quotation management : oversee preparation and submission of accurate and timely quotations; monitor and analyze quotation strike rates to identify trends and areas for improvement; ensure quotations are delivered within the agreed response times.
- Success metrics : respond to CIF terms within 24 hours; respond to APAC DDP / DDU terms within 24 hours; respond to Europe / US DDP / DDU terms within 48 hours; respond to Tender / RFQ by submission deadline; target quotation strike rate of 30% with a minimum margin of 15%.
- Procurement and supplier management : oversee sourcing of rates, negotiate, confirm services, manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness; ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Sales support : coordinate with outdoor sales teams, provide quotations, documentation and client information; support other GAC Malaysia branch offices with necessary tools and resources; maintain a central repository of sales materials and ensure access to the latest resources.
- Coordination and lead management : liaise with global offices / agents on sales inquiries, development, shipment monitoring and internal coordination with customer service and operations; generate, record, monitor and follow up on sales leads domestically and internationally; convert leads to sales; build relationships to develop opportunities between G2G & G2A; update pricing by country monthly and quarterly; brief sales and business support teams on updated pricing.
- Telesales : carry out telesales to promote GAC services and follow up for business opportunities; perform a minimum of 40 sales calls per month; complete ad-hoc tasks as required.
