Job Responsibilities (JR)
Financial Reporting
1) Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2) Ensure reports comply with MFRS / IFRS and internal financial policies.
3) Coordinate with group accounts for consolidation.
Budgeting & Forecasting
1) Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
2) Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
3) Align financial planning with strategic business goals.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
1) Supervise AP / AR transactions to ensure timely payments and collections.
2) Monitor credit control and aging reports.
3) Resolve discrepancies with vendors and customers.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
1) Ensure timely submission of SST, corporate tax, and other statutory reports
2) Liaise with external tax agents and auditors.
3) Maintain proper tax schedules and support files.
Internal Controls & Audit
1) Establish and monitor internal financial controls.
2) Prepare audit schedules and manage year-end closing.
3) Address and rectify audit findings or compliance risks.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
1) Monitor daily cash position and optimize working capital.
2) Manage intercompany funding, banking relationships, and treasury matters.
3) Prepare weekly / monthly cash flow reports.
Cross-functional Collaboration
1) Partner with operations, HR, procurement, and commercial departments to support business decisions with financial data.
2) Support business cases, pricing, and profitability analysis.
Timely Compliance
1) Ensure tasks are completed according to KPI timelines.
2) Adhere to submission deadlines for all reporting and tax matters.
3) Lead initiatives to enhance employee morale, satisfaction, and overall well-being.
Strategic Support
1) Assist management in financial modeling, investment evaluation, and scenario planning.
2) Provide financial insights during strategy development and project feasibility assessments.
Other Duties
1) Take on tasks assigned by CFO or Management.
2) Represent the finance department in cross-departmental meetings and projects.
