What role you will play in our team
We are seeking early career materials engineers to join our team and provide technical supports across our global facilities and capital projects. Engineers will contribute to all stages of asset development, operation and reliability. The role is structured to build professional foundation and promote rapid skill development while contributing to the business.
What you will do
- Support all phases of asset operational life through asset sale or decommissioning and project development from concept selection through commissioning and startup.
- Support asset integrity management & inspection work processes to Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses globally.
- Develop and leverage cutting edge data analytics, digital tools and techniques to manage information and improve the delivery effectiveness in driving overall asset improvements.
- Work effectively with partners and contractors in assets and projects they support.
- Leverage communication and presentation skills to develop and deliver cost effective technical support within the individual's core discipline.
- Identify opportunities to improve & sustain work processes.
- Have fundamental materials engineering proficiencies in interfacing Engineering disciplines, such as Process, Fixed / Rotating Equipment, Instrumentation & Control, etc.
- Seek out coaches, mentors and professional networks.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree / PhD in Materials Engineering or other related disciplines.Be able to demonstrate knowledge in one or more of the following areas : Corrosion Control; Metallurgy and Manufacturing; Welding / Fabrication and Inspection / Testing; Materials Selection; Failure Analysis; Fracture Mechanics; NDE (Non-Destructive Examination); Non-Metallic materials; polymer, composites, coatings, linings, refractory, ceramic.Preferred Qualifications / Experiences
Show initiative to capture opportunities, shows passion for one’s work and is willing to go above and beyond base expectations to achieve superior business results.Possesses effective communication skills to promote collaborations.Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, applies leaning / experience to critically challenge and promotes innovation.Basic Knowledge of the following : Offshore production, Refinery and Chemical Plant Materials of construction; Corrosion and mechanical degradation mechanisms; Pressure vessel, piping, and pipeline fabrication processes; Structural steel.Knowledgeable and continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards / practices in materials, mechanical & asset integrity.Flexibility to travel internationally to work sites as per business needs.Your Benefits
