Overview

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 50 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

Role

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve high efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality, to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and support new product introductions.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, cycle time, and overall efficiency.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing robust process flows, conducting trials, and ensuring smooth transition to mass production.

Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective / preventive actions (CAPA).

Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure compliance with ISO / industry standards.

Prepare and maintain key process documentation, including Work Instructions, SOPs, FMEA, and control plans.

Lead cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or DOE methodologies.

Provide technical training and support to production staff.

Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvement measures.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on process-related matters when required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in semiconductor, electronics, precision manufacturing, or relevant industry.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel).

Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, process validation, and continuous improvement projects.

Familiar with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
