This company is a part of a Korean-based reinsurance broking group with ambitious plans to expand across the ASEAN region. They offer professional brokering services, helping clients navigate insurance and reinsurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with clients, understanding their reinsurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Build and sustain partnerships with reinsurers and other market participants to secure competitive terms and innovative solutions.
• Provide expert advice on coverage, programme structure, clauses, and market conditions.
• Lead the end‑to‑end reinsurance placement process : negotiations with reinsurers, terms & conditions review, slip and contract preparation, endorsements, invoices and documentation.
• Oversee data management and compliance with regulatory requirements & internal SOPs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (claims, finance, credit control) to ensure seamless execution of transactions, billing and settlements.
• Anticipate renewal timelines, initiate renewal processes and prevent potential issues proactively.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of brokers and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.
• Encourage standardisation of workflows and knowledge‑sharing across the team.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and enhance revenue streams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions.
• Support marketing activities such as client seminars, industry events and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Analyse risks and exposures to provide clients with effective reinsurance solutions.
• Work closely with actuaries and underwriters to assess and price risk accurately.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian and international regulatory requirements, company policies, anti‑bribery / anti‑corruption standards and data protection (PDPA).
