Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
This role is responsible for strengthening the brand’s visibility in the market through effective outdoor merchandising and managing premium merchandise that supports product launches, sales programs, and dealer engagement. The Specialist ensures consistent brand presence across trade channels, maximizes the value of free and for-sale premiums, and develops governance processes to track, control, and optimize all merchandising activities. By doing so, the role directly contributes to dealer engagement, customer influence at the point of sale, and sales conversion in a competitive telecommunications environment.
Key Responsibilities
Outdoor Merchandising
Plan, coordinate, and execute outdoor branding and visibility projects (e.g., Outdoor giant banner, shopfront signage, banner, mall advertising).Work with regional sales teams to identify strategic high-impact locations for outdoor brand presence.Manage vendors and contractors to ensure on-time, high-quality execution of outdoor branding projects.Develop and maintain a visibility asset tracker (location, type, installation date, refresh cycle, and cost).Conduct regular audits and field visits to ensure outdoor assets comply with brand standards.Premium Merchandise Management
Develop merchandise strategy and planningManage the end-to-end process for premium merchandise used in trade promotions, dealer engagement, and customer giveaways.Oversee both free premiums (for campaigns and promotions) and merchandise for sale (co-branded or event-based items).Develop and enforce processes and SOPs to govern requests, approvals, allocation, and usage of premiums.Coordinate production, inventory management, and distribution to ensure timely delivery to all regions.Track and report premium usage, budget spend, and impact on trade activation and dealer engagement.Ensure merchandise design, quality, and usage are consistent with brand identity and compliance standards.What’s next?
