The Company is embarking on an exciting new venture in the Malaysian fashion retail market, marking an important milestone in our regional growth. We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead the growth and success of this new fashion retail brand. This senior leadership role will oversee all aspects of the brand’s operations in Malaysia, including strategic execution, retail management, merchandising, marketing, and full P&L responsibility. The General Manager will play a key role in driving financial performance, ensuring a consistent customer experience, and establishing a strong foundation for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute business strategies defined by top management to achieve sales, profitability, and market share targets.
- Collaborate with principals, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure strong brand representation and local market relevance.
- Oversee and coordinate all activities from brand onboarding to market launch and retail outlet openings.
- Lead business development efforts to identify and secure strategic retail locations.
- Partner with marketing teams to build brand awareness and strengthen market positioning.
- Plan and execute new store openings, including site selection, project management, and launch activities.
- Oversee daily retail operations to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures, brand guidelines, and visual merchandising standards.
- Manage the brand’s P&L, including sales performance, budgeting, and profitability.
- Monitor retail KPIs and drive continuous performance improvement.
- Prepare business plans, forecasts, and reports for internal review and strategic planning.
- Work with merchandising teams on product assortments, seasonal launches, and inventory management.
- Execute marketing campaigns and promotions aligned with brand strategies.
- Lead, coach, and develop store managers and retail teams to foster a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, finance, and HR teams to ensure alignment of goals.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.Minimum 20 years of experience in retail operations and brand management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.Strong expertise in retail P&L management, budgeting, and brand development strategies.Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and execution-focused mindset.Proven experience in launching new retail outlets and managing brand onboarding processes.Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving retail environment.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills, with attention to detail.Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.#J-18808-Ljbffr
