Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description :

• Sources and compiles information for tender participation, including measurement, quotation invitation, costing reports, and tender submissions.
• Prepares bill of quantities (BoQ) involving quantity take-off, material sourcing, and estimating material and labour costs for tendering.
• Prepares tender responses in consultation with HOD and attends tender interviews when necessary.
• Negotiates with suppliers and appoints specialist subcontractors i.e. carpenters, fabricators, or installers as per trade requirements.
• Ensures timely submission of variation order (VO) costs and communicates progress to the project manager, along with submitting monthly progress claims and closing final accounts.
• Follows up on payment certificates and client payments efficiently.
• Certifies subcontractors' claims based on site progress and quantity.
• Examines letter of appointments, contract drawings, and documents to identify deviations from the tender.
