Job descriptionPartner with business teams to plan and execute financial strategies and projects. Prepare and review financial statements, consolidate accounts, and manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Draft budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and regulatory reports. Assist with tax returns and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. Manage risks in financial activities and evaluate business performance. Estimate short- and long-term financial objectives and track company KPIs. Provide insights and financial analysis to support decision-making and ROI evaluation. Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional accounting certifications (CPA, CA, or equivalent) are an added bonus. Background in Big 4 accounting firms, or proven experience as an Accountant, Finance Assistant, or similar role. Strong experience with preparing and managing complex financial statements. Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software. Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping, accounting, and finance procedures. Experience building P&L and balance sheets from GL level. Excellent time-management and organizational skills with attention to detail. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Language skills : English, Chinese, Indonesian.
Position Overview
We are now hiring a Finance Business Partner (Full-time Remote) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to take ownership of financial operations, reporting, and advisory support. This role will directly contribute to business decision-making, ensuring transparency, compliance, and long-term growth.
- Provide analytical and technical financial / accounting support.
- Manage diverse duties across departments within finance and accounting.
- Build, examine, and compile weekly and monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure precision, detail orientation, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel in daily work.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing is an advantage.
- Collaborate closely with regional stakeholders across Southeast Asia.
