The Logistic Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient movement of equipment, spare parts, and materials both locally and internationally. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
Logistics & Transportation Plan, coordinate, and monitor all inbound and outbound logistics operations (import / export, local transportation, delivery to customers). Manage transportation schedules, fleet operations, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers to ensure efficiency and cost control. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, shipping requirements, and safety standards. Oversee warehousing, inventory control, and distribution strategies. Supply Chain & Inventory Management Develop and implement logistics strategies that support company sales and service targets. Monitor stock levels, lead times, and order fulfilment to avoid delays. Work with the warehouse team to improve efficiency, accuracy, and traceability of spare parts and equipment. Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines. Process Improvement & Cost Control Identify and implement process improvements in logistics and distribution to increase efficiency. Negotiate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and transport providers to secure competitive rates. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with the sales, service, warehouse, and procurement teams to align logistics with business needs. Provide logistics support for project sites, service teams, and customer deliveries. Serve as the key contact for suppliers, customs agents, and logistics partners. Lead, train, and develop logistics staff to ensure effective operations. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain proper documentation and reporting for internal audits and government authorities. Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management (experience in heavy equipment / machinery industry is an advantage). Strong knowledge of international trade, shipping regulations, customs clearance, and import / export procedures. Proven experience in fleet and warehouse management. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in ERP or logistics management systems. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage). Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and cost management mindset. Ability to lead teams and manage cross-department collaboration.
