Job Description
- Oversee all research reports to be prepared and published in a timely and accurate manner to ensure dealers and remisiers can provide fresh, up-to-date investment ideas to existing and prospective customers.
- Formulate strategy and market reports, and provide guidance to analysts on specific sector coverage to ensure research reports are equipped with necessary and up-to-date information.
Research Analysis
Identify potential equity investments that could be added to the core coverage portfolio to boost investment ideas.Develop financial modelling, charting, and investment strategy to assist in investment decision making.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services industry happenings and current events to assist in investment decision making.Customer Relationship and Branding Establishment
Serve as the key focal point for institutional meetings, webinars, and conference calls pertaining to the Malaysian stock market to instill investment confidence and direction among participants.Actively participate in in‑house and external events and roadshows to assist in marketing and branding of the company.Management and Development
Plan, execute, lead, develop, and guide analysts on a regular basis to achieve personal KPIs.Manage and delegate custom research requests and consultancy relationships that require specialised project management to improve cross‑functional operational efficiency.Deliver clear communication of project initiatives after monthly task force meetings to ensure analysts’ routine and ad‑hoc tasks are well aligned with departmental and company goals.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Investment, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of hands‑on experience in buy‑side or sell‑side equity research.Licensed under the Securities Commission Malaysia – Modules 12 & 19A (Investment Advice License).In‑depth technical knowledge of the Malaysian equity market, encompassing fundamental, economic, and technical analysis.Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing a team or mentoring junior analysts.Clean track record with no adverse findings concerning fit and proper assessments.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.#J-18808-Ljbffr
