- Implement and monitor the continuous protection of MISC Group’s interests while upholding MISC Group’s business, competitiveness, high level planning and strategic initiatives.
- Provide, manage and supervise the overall legal service and advisory functions for the GAS Business unit.
- Provide, manage and supervise the overall management of general shipping law requirement for MISC Group.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Legal Services to Specific Business Units & Service Units :
Manage and provide advice for general, complex and / or project specific legal issues in order to attain the most favorable position for MISC Group. Main scope will include the following :
1. Project :
Review, draft and finalize documentations, provide legal advice and negotiate the transactions.Strategize, manage and / or supervise the revision, negotiation and finalization of the legal documentation and advisory by the Executives pertaining to specific projects.2. Join Venture, partnership and sale & purchase of shares for GAS BU :
Manage, negotiate, draft and finalize legal documents pertaining to joint ventures, partnership and sale & purchase of shares on project-based exercises undertaken.3. Operation :
Manage, provide and / or supervise Executives for the provision of legal advice in all operational issues and day to day matters.4. Strategic Initiatives
Provide and / or guide Executives in providing legal advice as required to support GAS BU’s strategic & initiative and / or initiative to support GAS BU’s needs.Recommend and conduct the formulation of lessons learnt and awareness sessions.Shipping Regulations & Legislations
Manage the provision of legal advisory for shipping regulations & legislations applicable for the LNG & new energy segments attached to LNG industry; and the shipping segment of MISC Group.
Manage and provide the legal services and advice to MISC Group for general maritime laws, regulations (both local and international) and compliance relevant to the shipping segment, working closely with relevant subsidiaries.Manage and provide proactive measures in the introduction and / or implementation of relevant shipping regulations and legislations to protect MISC Group's interest.JOB REQUIREMENT :
Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and Qualified in a common law jurisdiction.Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in private practice or in house.Experience in maritime, dispute resolution and / or oil & gas industry is preferred.Seniority level
