Responsibilities
- Handles loan administration tasks for Commerzbank Singapore, Tokyo, China and Frankfurt : control and operational aspects of approved credit transactions.
- Checks completeness of facility documentation in consultation with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers.
- Ensures accurate input and maintenance of credit limits, collateral data and loan transactions in the relevant Bank systems.
- Maintains coordination with other departments, branches, and Head Office for regular and ad hoc reports for Credit, Branch Management, Head Office and MAS.
- Ensures compliance with internal requirements / procedures / system controls and external requirements (Auditors / MAS).
- Loan agency and administration scope : manages credit portfolios of Singapore, Tokyo, and Frankfurt Branch and supports other Asian branches as assigned by the Regional Head of GS-BM Operations Asia.
- Provides relief coverage for fellow team members.
- Works toward service quality and efficiency with firm controls over assigned tasks; deepens skills in business processing and technical understanding of business applications; responds to internal and external queries with minimal supervision; achieves SLA targets; handles complex cases with high competency in processing efficiency and accuracy; supports management initiatives; contributes ideas to improve operations; fosters teamwork; multi-tasks to support the team; based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Key Activities
Understanding the technicalities of bilateral, syndicated and agency Loan Agreements according to prevailing market standards.Maintains the setup of credit facility limits in relevant Bank systems (input / amendment / cancellation).Ensures proper and complete credit facility / security documentation in accordance with relevant facility / security agreements.Inputs, maintains, and authorizes collateral data, and monitors expiring collaterals and renewals.Loan Agency / Administration & Operations : liaises with bilateral & syndicated loan customers, facility agent banks, lenders, borrowers and relevant departments for drawdowns, rollovers, prepayments and repayments.Processing (input / authorizes) of loan transactions and fees settlements in the bank systems; maintains loan administration files.Reporting : coordinates with other departments, branches, and Head Office on reporting requirements; prepares reports for Credit department, Branch Management, Head Office, and MAS.Other Administrative Tasks : supports initiatives / ad hoc tasks; participates in continuous process improvements; provides holiday coverage for Commerzbank Singapore, Tokyo, China and Frankfurt activities during respective branches’ holidays; accepts additional tasks as assigned by Group Head per job rotation.Formal Education
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree or Commercial School Graduate preferred.Specialist Knowledge & Qualifications
Preferably entry level specialized in investment banking, commercial banking or broker; no work experience required; minimum CGPA 3.0; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (written and spoken) with Mandarin proficiency as an advantage; MS Office and related tools.Note : Successful candidates will be employed on a 12-month contract directly under Commerz Global Service Solutions Sdn Bhd; permanent employment may be offered after the program based on performance.Characteristics
