Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring successful identification, execution and delivery of engineering projects involving low-cost automation and new manufacturing technologies within the areas of accountability. Work closely with the Head of Department to set up an organizational structure within BMI addressing core manufacturing processes and the implications for related technical training.
- Provide disciplinary and technical leadership of the area according to Corporate Rules of Governance. Identify, define and accomplish projects in core production processes in cooperation with internal and external suppliers.
- Guide nominated technical experts from the own organization in the global Corporate Knowledge Networks (CKN) and related sub-CKN groups.
- Develop strategies to govern core processes within the area of regional responsibility defined for the Technology Hub BMI in relation to the Operating Model Medical (OMM).
- Drive collaboration between process development and Research and Development (R&D) to promote simultaneous engineering for combined product and process development with the aim of generating manufacturable new products in accordance with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and division needs.
- Conduct early evaluations of manufacturing technology suppliers in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to enhance B. Braun manufacturing capabilities, especially in innovative process technologies. Provide training concepts and execution recommendations for technically skilled workers to be implemented by a technical training center.
Qualifications
BSc / MSc / PhD in Material Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. Prior experience in a plastic / material background.Experience and knowledge about plastic polymer properties and behavior, especially polyurethane.Experience conducting and running proof-of-concept tests related to material change.Ability to provide guidance and support to the R&D team on material-related topics.Support the lifecycle team related to material change.About B.
