- Map and priorities emerging technology research and evaluation themes (Al-centric focus) against sector needs and regulatory opportunities; value-driven, risk-calibrated R&D and evaluation pipeline.
- Design and mobilize experiments, pilots, sandbox studies, and vendor / tool assessments with hypotheses, data / ethics guardrails, and success criteria; credible, auditable evidence for adoption and procurement decisions.
- Structure and manage collaborations with academia and vendors (MoUs, SoWs, IP / DP terms, deliverables, review gates) lead to timely, reusable outputs that strengthen institutional knowledge assets.
- Run technical discovery and prototyping (POCs, benchmarks, comparative trials) within approved parameters, de-risked options for standards, procurement, and scale-up.
- Synthesize findings into decision artefacts (evaluation reports, foresight briefs, options papers); executive-ready recommendations to inform go / hold / scale decisions.
- Contribute evidence to governance / guardrails in coordination with Principal Analyst (Ethics & Policy) P5 (custodian role); practicable, field-tested frameworks anchored in real-world data.
