Aligned to key industry groups including asset management and private equity, banking and capital markets, and insurance, we provide integrated assurance, consulting, strategy & transactions, and tax services to our clients. The opportunity EY’s FSO tax practice provides comprehensive and specialized tax assistance tailored to the unique needs of the asset management industry. You would join our tax professionals who are knowledgeable and experienced with varied and specialized facets of hedge fund, private equity fund and mutual fund taxation, including fund and organizational structuring, tax compliance, and on-call advice. Your key responsibilities Managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients, focusing on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives Combining standard global compliance processes and tools with local compliance and accounting experience to provide clients visibility and control of their domestic and / or global compliance and reporting requirements. Making sure that the work delivered to the client is of high quality. Anticipating and identifying risks and escalating issues as appropriate. Helping to create a positive learning culture, coaching and counselling junior team members to help them develop professionally and personally as an influential member of the team Participating in engagements, assisting in managing engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders Participating in business development initiatives and building strong internal relationships within the business tax compliance team and across other services. Skills and attributes for success Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others Advanced written and verbal communication skills Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, analytical and able to work under pressure Fostering an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment To qualify for the role you must have A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum of 2 years of work experience in tax compliance or a related field, ideally with experience working in a professional services setting.
